GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The following Terms and Conditions apply to all transactions on this website. Please read carefully if there is anything that is not understood, please contact us. The Terms & Conditions do not affect your statutory rights. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any given time. Any changes or amendments will commence and be effective on the date they are amended online. You will be asked to read and accept the terms and conditions each and every time you place an order.
ORDERING
You will have an opportunity to review your basket prior to checking out and payment. After you checkout an order and Order number will be emailed with details of the products you have ordered. Please note that this e-mail is an acknowledgment, not an acceptance of your order. Orders are only accepted upon Dispatch by ourselves.If payment is declined for any reason, we will contact you to advise.
BESPOKE ORDERS
Items specifically imported from EU Countries will incur importation shipping fees, and import declaration fees in the event that the item is no longer wanted. A restocking fee of 25% of the cost of the item, will be charged prior to refund.
PRICES AND PAYMENT
All prices and charges listed on this site are in UK pounds. VAT prices are displayed, delivery charges are excluded in item costs and will be added upon checkout.
The total of your order will be the price of the items you order plus any delivery charge. All these will be set out clearly in your Shopping Basket before you submit and complete your order.
All Prices, Sales or offers are always subject to availability and may change before (but not after) we accept your order. If something becomes unavailable we may offer you an alternative.
If we discover an error or mistake in the price or the item description of a item you have ordered, we will advise you and ask whether you wish to continue with your order or cancel it.
Pictures are for illustration only, however we try to maintain photos of current products at all times.
For delivery items we accept payment by Mastercard, Visa, Delta and Switch. Payment is deducted when we process your order.
By using a credit/debit card to pay for your order, you confirm that the card being used is yours. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment then we will not accept your order and we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery and we are not obliged to inform you of the reason for the refusal. We are not responsible for your card issuer or bank charging you as a result of our processing of your credit/debit card payment in accordance with your order. In the unlikely event that the price of an item has been incorrectly advertised on the website, we will contact you by telephone or email. If you are not happy to proceed with the order at the correct price, we will cancel the order. We are not obliged to supply products at the incorrect price.
DELIVERY
Delivery must be to an address in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
For the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, and the Scottish Islands, please contact us for a quote
For International Deliveries outside of the UK and Ireland, please contact us for a delivery quote.
All deliveries must be signed for.
Our Delivery charge depends on the weight of your items purchased. When you add products to your Delivery Shopping Basket, the appropriate standard delivery charge will be added automatically. If you add additional items, please double-check the charge by clicking “Update”.Most products are delivered either by courier or by post, depending on their size and value. Very occasionally different products in the same order may be delivered separately. Items sent by courier are dispatched within 2 working days, and delivered within 48 hours from dispatch. Smaller items may be posted via Royal Mail.
Sometimes delivery times may be affected by factors beyond our control, i.e. weather, or strikes, and therefore they cannot be guaranteed. We will try to advise you on any delayed deliveries.
Imported Items
Items ordered directly from Manufacturers, outside of the United Kingdom may incur between 1-12 weeks delay in receiving the items after order, due to customs checks, import declarations, and EU inspections at the borders. Modern Beekeeping cannot be held responsible for any loss of business, or entity due to any EU shipping delay to the UK.
RETURNS
Cancellations and Returns
If you have chosen to have your order delivered, you can cancel your purchase at any time either before or up to 21 full days after delivery by contacting us via email or phone.
Your product must be complete, unused and in ‘as new’ condition (e.g. if you have opened the box or container to examine the item you must have done so without damaging or marking the product in any way). It should be returned with the original box, packing and accessories. Any ‘Free Gifts’ received with the product must also be returned. You will receive a full refund (excluding return Delivery charges, unless faulty).

RETURN OF FAULTY GOODS
The following are guidelines for all goods ordered for delivery. Wherever possible we will respond to your individual circumstances. If there is a fault with your product within 12 months of delivery (or other defect with your order), we will normally offer a prompt exchange or refund. General Wear and tear is to be expected with goods. We will always offer you the choice of an exchange or refund if the fault occurs within 21 days of delivery. To qualify for a refund or exchange the product must be:-
in otherwise in ‘as-new’ condition;
complete with any accessories and free gifts offered with it (and, if possible, the original box and packaging).
This promise does not cover faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse or normal wear and tear. For consumable items (e.g. foods etc) the guarantee period is three months from delivery.
Any refund due to a fault or other defect will include a refund of the applicable delivery charges. Replacement goods are sent by standard delivery only.
We are happy to exchange or refund any item returned in a saleable condition and in it's original packaging within 21 days from receipt of delivery.

Please note that unless an item is faulty or damaged, the cost of the return will be at the customer's expense. If you require an exchange, additional postage charges may be incurred. We can collect a damaged parcel at your request for the standard shipping fee of £9.00 per parcel, which will need to be paid prior to collection.
DAMAGED ITEMS
ALL DAMAGED ITEMS MUST BE REPORTED TO US WITHIN 48 HOURS OF DELIVERY. Our Courier has a strict policy for damaged items claims. We will need the following before a claim for damage can be made.

GIFT VOUCHERS
- Gift Vouchers are issued in £ sterling which can be redeemed online: modernbeekeeping.co.uk. The Gift Vouchers can be used as full or part payment. Purchases made online with gift cards are not refundable in cash.
- Gift Vouchers are valid for 12 months after the purchase date. Modern Beekeeping will not be held responsible for money not redeemed before this point.
- Physical Gift Vouchers will normally be dispatched within two working days via Tracked Royal Mail delivery.
- e-Gift Vouchers will be emailed to the recipient within 2 hours of purchase.
- Modern Beekeeping Gift Vouchers will NOT be replaced or refunded if lost, stolen or damaged. Modern Beekeeping is not responsible for funds on the Card used without your knowledge.
- Gift Voucher quantities should be checked immediately upon receipt. Any discrepancies must be notified immediately. Modern Beekeeping cannot be held responsible for the shortage or loss of any gift cards not notified to us within three days of delivery.
- Cleared payment is required prior to the dispatch of orders. Payment is taken automatically at the time of purchase. Your credit/debit card statement will read Happy Valley Honey LTD. We reserve the right to decline any order without providing an explanation.
- Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift Cards that are defaced, altered or canceled will not be accepted.
- Promotional discount codes cannot be used against gift vouchers and e-gift voucher purchases. This includes Black Friday promotions and newsletter sign-up promotions, as well as all other promotions unless otherwise stated.
- In the exceptional circumstances that refund may be issued within 21 days of purchase, an admin fee of £15.00 will be charged for processing, deductible from the voucher value.
THIS RETURNS POLICY DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS
This Website We, our company and our suppliers own the copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in all material and content on this website, which you may use, download, copy, publish, transmit or otherwise make available by any other means only for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use or reproduction of the material or content is strictly prohibited.
You may not create any link to this website without our prior written consent, nor may you restrict or inhibit the use or enjoyment of it by anyone else.
GENERAL
These terms and conditions and all transactions relating to this website are governed by English law and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. We do not accept amendments to these terms and conditions.

FOUNDATION
Please note:- If foundation/wax sheets are ordered, and the outside temperature in SK10 is below 10°C wax will be shipped as soon as temperature increases. This is to avoid cracking, and damage in transit, due to the foundations fragile state when cold.
