Hive floor with mesh The Honey Paw hive floor is supplied with a plastic mesh and made to the same external measurements as the hive, and as such doesn't require an entrance reducer or mouse guard. 

The Honey Paw hive floor is supplied with a plastic mesh and made to the same external measurements as the hive, and as such doesn't require an entrance reducer or mouse guard. The floor should be placed a little above of the ground (i.e. on a wooden pallet) so that there is a "open space" directly under the hive floor. The bottom can be closed completely by sliding the supplied insert into the rear. The hive entrance should be blocked only when moving the hive or when splitting the beehive.
