We have sold these in the past to bee inspectors, who often have to tackle hives which have not been touched for a long period, but it is equally useful in general beekeeping as its length gives it great power with little effort from the beekeeper. The blade end is very sharp and is ideal for removing wax deposits if used at a very shallow angle to avoid it digging in. The J end is quite narrow and can be readily inserted under heavily waxed frames.
