You can just put a brick on the hive roof to hold it down but a strap is better, especially when the hive has to be moved, and we would fully recommend strapping all hives in windy weather. This 2.5M long Cam buckle strap is easy to use and long lasting with a 250KG breaking strain. We also supply a 5M hive strap. 

Please note that the strap is not to be used for picking up the hive, except when empty, and colour may vary on straps.
