Stainless Steel Hive Tool

This is probably the best made stainless steel hive tool available.  Manufactured in Germany and of outstanding quality and strength this tool is a joy to hold and use.

The design is slightly unusual at first glance but essentially, one end is a conventional "J" tool, which is the only type of tool we recommend for use with our hives, and the other end is a wide (57mm) chisel blade, ideal for removing wax and propolis and for prising apart hive bodies. 

The "J" end is quite slender but very strong and is particularly effective when removing frames which are well secured with propolis and wax.

One edge even has a bottle opener for those hot days beekeeping, but perhaps more usefully, the same part of the tool is perfectly designed for separating frames.
