12 oz Hexagonal Honey Jars with Lids - Box of 76

The 12 oz honey jar is becoming increasingly popular amongst beekeepers as they realise it allows them to increase their margins on honey sales. Experience suggests customers have a pre-conception of what they want to pay for a jar of honey and are less concerned about the size of the jar - but of course this hexagonal jar is also a very attractive way to package honey.

This box of 76 jars comes complete with gold coloured twist-off metal lids. Before use the jars and lids must be washed. This is best done in hot water with washing up liquid or a dishwasher. After a final rinse in clean water and a shake to remove surplus water place them in a warm oven. The jars can be safely heated above 100C but the lids have a rubber seal so should not be heated too much. The aim of the oven is to dry and sterilise the jars and lids. If there are any water marks left on the lids a rub with a clean, dry cloth will remove them. When putting the jars and lids in the oven turn the jars upside down so any remaining water will drain away. The lids should also be placed on the shelves concave side downwards for the same reason.
