Have you always wanted to become a beekeeper but have not been sure where to start? In the first instance we always recommend getting in touch with your local beekeepers association, most will offer open days where you can attend without making any commitments.

Before taking up beekeeping you should be sure that you understand this wonderful insect and that it is a form of livestock management. A course run by your local beekeepers association is vital to becoming a successful beekeeper, not only will you learn how to look after bees and recognise bee disease’s you will also meet experienced beekeepers who will usually be more than happy to offer you their support and advice. The BBKA website can help to locate your local beekeeping association.

If you require any additional information, please feel free to contact us and a member of our team will be happy to help.
